Ghanaian singer and songwriter, Camidoh, has given fans a rare glimpse into his creative world, revealing a mix of unreleased music, evolving artistry and deeply personal struggles that continue to shape his sound.
Camidoh disclosed on the Big Convo that he has a significant number of songs yet to be released, hinting at an exciting future for his fans.
“I’ve made a lot of songs that did not come out and I can’t wait for them to come out,” he shared.
Among these are collaborations with rising artiste AlorG, with Camidoh confirming that they already have three songs together and more in the works.
“I have three songs with AlorG that are not out yet… I want to make more.”
However, the journey hasn’t been entirely smooth. The singer admitted to facing challenges behind the scenes when it comes to putting out music.
“I had a few issues with releasing music.”
Known for his versatility, Camidoh is also experimenting with new sounds, including Afrohouse.
He revealed a unique project involving producer Nektunez, where he blended Afrohouse with artificial intelligence.
“There’s an Afrohouse song I made with Nektunez, twisted it around and gave it to A.I… I want to release that song.”
Despite growing concerns around AI in music, Camidoh remains unfazed, choosing instead to embrace the shift.
“I don’t feel threatened by A.I… you have to catch up with the evolution.”
Beyond singing, Camidoh revealed that he also produces beats, though it’s not something he actively showcases.
“A few people know I produce beats but it’s not something I tap into every day.”
This hidden skill adds another layer to his artistry, hinting at even more creative control behind the scenes.
On a more emotional note, Camidoh described his relationship with anxiety and how deeply music is tied to his well-being.
“Anxiety is my friend… I live in my head so much.” He also revealed how stepping away from music once affected him and those closest to him.
“My family was sad when I wasn’t making music. I won’t talk to anybody, I won’t eat.”
These experiences highlight just how central music is to his identity not just as a career, but as a form of expression and survival.
Among his catalogue, Camidoh named YOUR GHOST as his all-time favourite, signalling a strong emotional connection to the record.
With a vault full of unreleased tracks, experimental sounds involving AI and more collaborations on the horizon, Camidoh appears to be entering a new phase of creative freedom.
