Ghanaian culinary storyteller, African food traveler, and author Cheflifestyle is set to represent Ghana as a panelist at the Nigeria Food Summit 2026, where she will join leading culinary voices from across Africa to discuss African Gastrodiplomacy under the panel theme, Africa Unite.
Her participation marks another milestone in the journey of Flavours Beyond Borders, a culinary travel platform dedicated to exploring Africa through its food, documenting indigenous recipes, celebrating local producers, and preserving the stories that define the continent’s rich gastronomic heritage.
For Cheflifestyle, the invitation is more than a speaking engagement, it is a continuation of a mission to use food as a bridge for cultural exchange, tourism, and continental unity.
“The more I travelled through Flavours Beyond Borders, my journey to explore Africa’s food cultures and beyond—the more I realised that while every country has its own unique culinary identity, our cuisines are deeply connected. Through our ingredients, cooking techniques, traditions and shared history, our food tells different stories, but it speaks one language,” says Cheflifestyle.
Through Flavours Beyond Borders, Cheflifestyle has brought together the experiences, lessons, and discoveries from more than six years as a culinary creator, African food traveler, and now an author.
Her journey has taken her across cultures, kitchens, and communities, documenting the people, traditions, and indigenous ingredients that define African cuisine.
That vision has also been reflected in projects such as her FIFA World Cup culinary content series, where she explored the cuisines and cultures of participating nations through food, further reinforcing her belief that food is one of the world’s most powerful tools for storytelling, cultural exchange, and connection.
Her work extends beyond showcasing recipes. It highlights the shared ingredients, cooking techniques, migration patterns, history, and cultural influences that connect African cuisines, demonstrating that while every nation has its own culinary identity, the continent shares a rich and interconnected gastronomic heritage.
As part of her visit to Nigeria, Cheflifestyle will also embark on a Nigerian Food Tour under the Flavours Beyond Borders series, exploring the country’s diverse culinary landscape beyond the summit.
The tour will take audiences into local markets, family kitchens, restaurants, and communities, spotlighting indigenous ingredients, regional delicacies, culinary traditions, and the people preserving them.
Through immersive storytelling and digital content, the Nigerian Food Tour aims to foster cultural exchange while celebrating both the uniqueness and interconnectedness of African cuisine.
“I believe African cuisine deserves more than a place on our tables. It deserves a place in global conversations on tourism, culture, trade, diplomacy and education,” she adds.
Cheflifestyle believes initiatives like Flavours Beyond Borders can help reshape the global narrative around African cuisine—moving beyond stereotypes to showcase the innovation, diversity, history, and richness of the continent’s food cultures.
As she travels from Ghana to Nigeria, she carries with her not only the flavours of home but also a vision of an Africa connected through food—one where every dish tells a story, every journey deepens cultural understanding, and every shared meal creates meaningful connections across borders.
