Leading advertising agency Dentsu Ghana and food manufacturing giant GB Foods, producers of the popular Gino brand, teamed up once again to host the second edition of their exciting cooking competition, COOK IT, LICK IT 2.0.
The event, which put a spotlight on the much-loved Gino Jollof Mix, brought together five energetic groups who battled it out in the kitchen to create the ultimate Jollof dish. The competition celebrated not only the creativity of Ghanaian cooking but also the joy of togetherness and sharing good food.
Participants were tasked with preparing Jollof using the signature Gino Jollof Mix, showcasing how the product brings authentic taste, convenience, and consistency to one of West Africa’s most iconic dishes. Each group infused their unique flair, with judges assessing them based on taste, presentation, and creativity.
The lively competition went beyond cooking, it was an interactive celebration. Attendees cheered their favorite teams, sampled delicious meals, and experienced firsthand how Gino continues to play a role in Ghana’s vibrant food culture.
With the success of COOK IT, LICK IT 2.0, organizers are already hinting at future editions, with hopes to expand participation and make the competition an annual staple in Ghana’s culinary calendar.
