Ghanaian DJ, DJ Phantom is set to host the fourth edition of his annual Phantom Experience on Sunday, 20 September, with a day-party concept combining Kizomba, DJ sets, games and live entertainment.

The event, themed Sunset in Havana, will be held at Underbridge, East Legon. DJ Phantom said the decision to start the event in the afternoon is intended to give patrons an experience that goes beyond the usual nightlife setting.

Activities will include a Kizomba session, piano and DJ performances, Jenga and paintball games, vendor stands and painting activities.

Several DJs and performers are expected to feature at the event, including Kweku Pee, JoyWxld, DJ TT, DJ Williamo, DJ Rector, DJ Pulse, Top K, Ben Arthur and Michael Nichols.

DJ Phantom also confirmed that there will be a surprise act, but did not disclose the identity of the performer.

DJ Phantom said the event began while he was a student at the University of Ghana and is now in its fourth year. He said the first edition, held at Waves Lounge on the university campus in 2023, attracted a large crowd despite limited advance ticket sales.

According to him, last year’s edition was affected by heavy rain and a subsequent power outage, prompting the team to choose a covered venue for this year’s event.

He said preparations have also involved securing sponsors and setting up the venue, including the sound, stage and screens.

DJ Phantom, who combines his work as an audit officer with his career as a DJ, said he wants people to attend the event because of the Phantom Experience itself rather than simply because of the artists on the bill.

Tickets are currently selling for GH¢200, after earlier GH¢100 and GH¢150 tiers sold out. Tickets can be purchased by dialling *239*200*16# or through the event’s website.

The event is open to people aged 18 and above, with organisers encouraging patrons to arrive early and dress in bright, colourful outfits in keeping with the Sunset in Havana theme.
