Lyrical Joe Says He Will Never Fake a Rap Beef for Publicity

Ghanaian rapper Lyrical Joe has made it clear that he would never manufacture a rap beef simply to generate attention, insisting that he values authenticity when it comes to his music and lyrical battles.

According to the rapper, while some artistes may deliberately create or stage beefs to attract public interest, that is not an approach he is willing to adopt.

Lyrical Joe maintained that if he ever engages another artiste in a rap battle, it would be genuine rather than a publicity stunt.

“I will never fake a rap beef, even though other artistes do,” he said.

His comments come amid ongoing conversations about the role of beefs and lyrical rivalries in Ghanaian hip-hop, where clashes between artistes have historically generated significant attention for both the music and the artistes involved.

For Lyrical Joe, however, the competitive nature of rap should remain authentic, with lyrical exchanges driven by genuine differences or artistic competition rather than a calculated attempt to trend.

The rapper has built a reputation for his battle-ready approach to hip-hop, regularly using his music and lyrical ability to assert his position within Ghana’s rap scene.
