Ghanaian Afro-pop star Wendy Shay has expressed frustration over what she describes as the persistent lack of support and fairness for women in Ghana’s music industry.

The “Uber Driver” hitmaker took to X to share her concerns, suggesting that her recent experience or something she had heard had reinforced her belief that female artistes continue to face significant challenges within the industry.

“This music Industry does Not favour women AT ALL!!! I always knew this but after hearing what I just heard it’s SERIOUS !!!” she tweeted.
