The Food and Drugs Authority (FDA) has issued a public alert cautioning job seekers about a rising wave of fake recruitment scams targeting individuals seeking employment opportunities with the Authority.

In a statement, the FDA revealed that these fraudulent schemes often involve unsolicited messages or emails requesting personal information or demanding payment in exchange for fake job offers.

The Authority stressed that such communications are not legitimate and urged the public to remain vigilant. “Such messages are not legitimate and should be treated with suspicion,” the FDA emphasized.

To tackle the growing scam, the FDA is encouraging individuals to report any suspicious recruitment messages to its Head Office or Regional Offices across the country. The Authority reassured the public of its unwavering commitment to safeguarding their interests and maintaining the integrity of its recruitment processes.

The FDA also reminded job seekers that its recruitment procedures are transparent and free of charge, advising individuals to verify all job-related information directly through the FDA’s official communication channels.

This warning comes amid concerns about the increasing sophistication of fraudulent schemes aimed at exploiting unsuspecting job seekers. The FDA’s proactive stance seeks to protect the public and prevent further victimization.
