Ghanaian rapper, Ian Jazzi, has released a new album titled I WUZ HIA SOM( I DEY 2OO FORM), marking another milestone in his long-running career in Ghana’s hip-hop scene.
Speaking on Culture Daily, Jazzi described the project as one of his strongest works yet.“I’ve put a lot of work into this album. Everyone who has heard it says it’s a really strong hip-hop project,” he said.
The album is the second instalment in a series that began in 2021.
According to Jazzi, the concept symbolises his lasting impact on the Ghanaian rap scene.
“It’s my way of saying I was here in the music industry, I was here in Ghana rap don’t forget Jazzi,” he explained.
The album features collaborations with several Ghanaian artistes including Kumi Guitar, Obibini, Sena Dagadu and Prince Bright.
In a move aimed at supporting independent music, Jazzi has chosen to release the album directly through his website instead of relying solely on streaming platforms.
The rapper says the approach allows supporters to directly contribute to sustaining independent Ghanaian Hip-Hop.
“Support the art and support the artistes who have kept Ghana rap alive,” he said.

The rapper recounted meeting Lil Shaker while attending Accra High School after repeating Class Six, a development he said initially felt embarrassing but ultimately changed the course of his life.
The rapper who was speaking on Culture Daily on 3Music TV and Pluzz FM said he was unaware that he had asthma and initially mistook the symptoms for other health conditions.
He explained that support for the Free Senior High School feeding programme has increased as a result of the government's decision to decapitate the Ghana Education Trust Fund (GETFund).
According to him, many records are built around the same drum patterns, production techniques, and musical formulas, making the sound increasingly predictable and less exciting for listeners.
The project is designed to serve as a bridge to his forthcoming album, offering fans an early glimpse into the sound, themes, and musical direction he is developing for his next major body of work.

Ati-Zigi, who is representing Ghana at his second consecutive World Cup, said the squad has trained well and is ready for the challenge ahead.
Participants are expected to spend 48 hours designing and testing solutions that could help governments, businesses, and institutions improve their cybersecurity posture.
He said that the proposed new calendar currently under review by government will reduce the unnecessary stress placed on the candidates.
