The first official trailer for the horror film Good Boy, an unsettling supernatural thriller uniquely seen through the eyes of a loyal dog, has finally debuted, sending shivers through the horror community. 

The film unfolds entirely from the point-of-view of Indy, a devoted dog whose heightened senses pick up supernatural disturbances invisible to humans. This immersive vantage transforms ordinary domestic scenes into chilling, suspense-filled moments. 

Even before wide release, Good Boy impresses with a 95% critics score on Rotten Tomatoes, touted as one of the most emotionally impactful horror films of 2025. Reviewers describe it as heartbreakingly powerful, combining genuine scare with deep emotional stakes. 

Director Ben Leonberg, who co-wrote the film with Alex Cannon, replaces typical haunted-house tropes with a story centered on a dog’s unwavering loyalty and bravery, an emotional anchor amidst supernatural peril. 

Indy, Leonberg’s real-life pet, stars as himself. The production prioritized natural behavior over anthropomorphism, creating raw authenticity and increasing the immersion of horror. 

Unlike conventional pet-based fear stories, Good Boy offers a heartfelt narrative—the terrors are external, and Indy’s resolute protection of his owner Todd (played by Shane Jensen) is the emotional core.
