Gabonese President To Pay Three-Day Official Visit To Ghana

President John Dramani Mahama has invited the President of the Republic of Gabon, Brice Clotaire Oligui Nguema, to visit Ghana on a three-day official visit from July 28 to July 30.

President Oligui Nguema will be accompanied by a high-level delegation comprising government ministers, senior government officials and representatives of the Gabonese business community, according to a statement from the Presidency.

The visit was another major step in boosting bilateral ties between Ghana and Gabon, the statement noted.

During their visit, Presidents Mahama and Oligui Nguema will have a dét-à-tüge meeting, before engaging in formal bilateral talks at the Jubilee House, Accra on July 28.

It is likely that the talks will examine the two nations' current relationship and look into new avenues of collaboration outside of established alliances.

“The official visit marks another watershed moment in the dynamic bilateral relations between Ghana and Gabon,” the statement said.
