After narrowly missing out on major UEFA rights packages, the streaming giant appears poised to intensify its push into live football, signaling a new era in which global streaming platforms rival traditional broadcasters for the world’s most valuable sports leagues.

Sources close to the development suggest that Netflix has been studying the Premier League’s rights structure closely and is now assessing the financial and strategic feasibility of securing a package when the next rights cycle opens.
