Popular Ghanaian event planner and media personality Whitney Boakye Mensah has opened up about a disturbing encounter she once had with a pastor while seeking prayers over her struggles with childbirth.
Speaking during an emotional conversation with Piesie Esther on Voices of Strength, Whitney revealed that the incident happened during a church prayer session organized for women who were struggling to conceive.
According to her, the pastor who she claimed is married, asked all women facing fertility challenges to gather at a specific spot in the church for prayers and spiritual direction.
Whitney disclosed that during a private consultation, the pastor allegedly made a shocking statement to her. She claimed he told her that if she truly wanted to give birth, the sperm needed to conceive the child had to come from him.
The revelation left her stunned and deeply uncomfortable.
She further shared that the pastor was eventually banned from the church following the incident.
Whitney who’s also the founder of MyDearSistersKeepergh said she decided to speak publicly about the experience to shed light on the emotional and spiritual manipulation some women battling childbirth issues may face while seeking help and prayers.
Whitney’s story has since sparked conversations online about abuse of spiritual authority, accountability in religious spaces, and the vulnerability of women dealing with fertility struggles.
