Sarkodie, the revered rap maestro from Ghana, took center stage at the Accra International Conference Centre on December 25, 2023, to host the 11th edition of his RAPPEHOLIC Concert, aptly titled THE REBIRTH. The atmosphere pulsated with energy as fans, along with guest artistes such as Tulenkey, Maya Blu, Quamina MP, Kofi Mole, Pappy Kojo, and Efya, united in a harmonious symphony of cheers and chants. Pappy Kojo, in particular, set the stage ablaze, delivering back-to-back hits and throwing it back to the golden era by bringing Prince Bright of BukBak fame, who effortlessly captivated the audience with each nostalgic tune.
The anticipation soared to new heights as the clock struck the eleventh hour, signaling the imminent appearance of the main act, Sarkodie. The rapper orchestrated a captivating entrance, kicking off his performance in a cage with the electrifying track OTAN. The crowd, seemingly in sync with the lyrics, echoed every word, creating a surreal co-authorship experience.
Following the adrenaline-pumping rendition of OTAN, Sarkodie continued to command the stage, treating fans to a brief performance of his controversial hit, TRY ME. The night escalated into a visual spectacle when he unveiled a blood-red Lamborghini, an audacious statement underscoring his triumph and success.
In a poignant tribute, Sarkodie dedicated a heartfelt performance to his late attorney, Cynthia Quarcoo Esq., evoking a shared emotional moment that resonated deeply with the audience.
