Nigerian Afrobeats heavyweight Tekno has unveiled his latest single, POWERBANK, accompanied by a captivating music video that stars Nollywood actress Regina Daniels.
The single dropped on June 27th, 2025, under Tekno’s labels Cartel Music and emPawa Africa, following the success of his previous hit ALHAJI, which amassed over 10 million streams and sparked more than 30,000 TikTok videos.
Produced by Selebobo, known for his work with Wizkid, Davido, and Burna Boy the track playfully equates romantic devotion to a power bank, using the hook “You be my powerbank, you charge my battery full” as a central metaphor. Tekno’s smooth vocals glide over R&B-infused Afrobeats, delivering a feel-good love anthem.
Directed by Kemz and filmed in Abuja, the music video adds sensual storytelling and playful drama. Regina Daniels stars as Tekno’s muse, appearing in intimate scenes and even a high-energy car chase—reinforcing the song’s theme of emotional recharging and romantic adventure.
POWERBANK reinforces Tekno’s knack for turning relatable themes into infectious melodies. Coming off solid streaming numbers from recent releases and major hits like PANA and BUGA, he continues to cement his status as a global Afrobeats authority.
POWERBANK is available now on all major streaming platforms.
