Zendaya Turns Heads in Vintage Mugler Robot Suit at Dune: Part Two Premiere

Zendaya stole the spotlight at the global premiere of Dune: Part 2 in London, making a fearless fashion statement in a Thierry Mugler fall/winter 1995-96 couture collection metallic suit. The avant-garde ensemble featured metal plates on the shoulders, bodice, legs, and arms, adorned with transparent plexiglass panels at the waist, bust, upper back, and buttocks. Completing the look, the 27-year-old actress paired the suit with knee-high metallic boots and adorned herself with vintage Bulgari jewelry.

Named the Machinenmensch or Machine Human, this original design debuted on the runway in 1995, drawing inspiration from Futura, a character from the 1925 book Metropolis. The creation of the suit was a six-month collaboration between Mugler and artist Jean-Jacques Urcun and was prominently featured in the 2022 Mugler exhibit at the Brooklyn Museum.

Zendaya's trusted stylist, Law Roach, confirmed the suit's authenticity and showcased it on Instagram.

Later in the evening, Zendaya made another red carpet appearance, donning a black spaghetti-strap dress, also from Mugler.

Set to reprise her role as Chani in Dune: Part 2, Zendaya joins co-stars Timothée Chalamet, Florence Pugh, and Austin Butler. The film is slated for a U.S. theater release on March 1.
