Alef Aeronautics Unveils Electric Flying Car at 2025 Silicon Valley Auto Show
Alef Flying car
At the recent 2025 Silicon Valley Auto Show, San Mateo-based company Alef Aeronautics unveiled their groundbreaking electric flying car, captivating attendees with a glimpse into the future of transportation. The vehicle, known as the Alef Model A, functions as a conventional electric car on the road but possesses the unique capability to take off vertically and fly, offering a novel solution to urban congestion.

Alef’s CEO and co-founder, Jim Dukhovny, highlighted the vehicle’s dual functionality, stating, “It’s a regular electric vehicle with one more function, which none of the cars here have. It can actually vertically take off and fly forward.”

The Model A boasts a driving range of 200 miles and a flying range of 110 miles. Priced at $300,000, the vehicle has already garnered significant interest, with over 3,000 pre-orders to date.

Production is slated to begin in late 2025, with deliveries expected to follow. Alef has secured a mass manufacturing deal to facilitate the production of the Model A, aiming to make aerial commuting a reality for consumers in the near future.

For those interested in reserving the Alef Model A, pre-orders are currently open with a deposit of $150.

As the automotive industry continues to evolve, Alef Aeronautics’ innovative approach to combining driving and flying capabilities positions the company at the forefront of next-generation transportation solutions.
