International music sensation Amaarae has announced the postponement of her scheduled shows in Toronto and Washington, D.C., citing an unexpected family loss.
In a statement shared via social media, the singer expressed heartfelt apologies to fans who had anticipated the performances, explaining that she needed time away from the tour to be with her family during this period.
“We have unfortunately had to pull the TOR & DC shows due to unforeseen circumstances surrounding a family loss. As a result, I have had to take time off to be with my family,” she wrote. “My sincerest apologies to all the fans who were looking forward to the shows and I promise to make it up to you during next year’s tour run.”
The canceled dates were part of her ongoing international tour, which has seen widespread excitement across multiple cities. Fans have responded with sympathy and support, sending condolences and well-wishes to the artiste and her family.
Amaarae hinted that both cities will be prioritized in her upcoming tour cycle in 2026, reassuring supporters that the postponed shows will be rescheduled.
