For Ghanaian artiste Arathejay, music is more than rhythm it’s a revelation. Known for his introspective storytelling and calm demeanour, the rising star opens up about faith, pain and purpose in his latest project, THE ODYSSEY.
In an intimate conversation, Arathejay revealed that many of his songs were born out of silent struggles.
“There were times I just couldn’t sleep,” he confessed. “It wasn’t about stress or sickness it was me thinking about why things had to be this way, and if there was ever going to be a way out.”
Songs like GROUND ZERO and ARA NO DEY SLEEP reflect those inner battles, the sound of a young artiste trying to reconcile faith and frustration. But Arathejay says that his faith, not fame, keeps him grounded.
“People say the end justifies the means,” he said thoughtfully. “But I don’t believe that. The means must be right that’s how the end becomes right.”
Raised in a home that valued scripture and spirituality, Arathejay credits his father for instilling discipline in faith.
“My dad made me memorise whole chapters, not just verses,” he smiled. “Before I sleep and when I wake up, I must see what God has said.”
Even in an industry filled with noise and chaos, Arathejay remains calm in his conviction. He attributes his direction to divine guidance, not trends.
Through it all, THE ODYSSEY captures the soul of a believer navigating a modern world raw, real and relentlessly honest.
