Ghanaian music sensation Asomacy has hit a major milestone in his career by signing a record deal with Sony Music West Africa, facilitated by The Pep Entertainment (TPE). This exciting development was announced on Thursday through Sony Music West Africa's Instagram page, following the viral success of Asomacy's hit single, WHY, which has taken TikTok by storm.
The viral success of WHY has catapulted Asomacy into the spotlight, catching the attention of music lovers and industry professionals alike. His unique sound and relatable lyrics have resonated with a wide audience, making him one of the most talked-about new artistes in the region.
Joining the ranks of prominent Ghanaian artiste Gyakie and Nigerian artistes, F3lineofficial and Mayorkun, Asomacy's signing marks a significant step in his burgeoning career. Kwadwo Amoah, also known as Pep Junia, a key figure at TPE, expressed his confidence in Sony Music West Africa's ability to nurture Asomacy's talent. "After working closely with Asomacy and seeing his potential firsthand during tours with rapper Kofi Mole, it became clear that Sony Music West Africa offers the best platform for his growth," said Pep Junia.
Asomacy, whose real name is Kwame Asomasi, hails from Kumasi, where his love for music was ignited by his elder siblings' influence. He began writing songs at the age of 12 and pursued music professionally at 15. His journey has been marked by dedication and hard work, traits that have now led to this pivotal moment.
Reflecting on his new deal, Asomacy shared, "This partnership with Sony Music West Africa is a dream come true. It not only validates my efforts but also amplifies my vision to learn, explore, and release new music on a bigger scale. I believe this step will elevate everything we do to make that dream happen."
Looking ahead, Asomacy remains focused on his craft and the opportunities this deal will bring. He draws inspiration from personal experiences and societal events, aiming to create music that resonates deeply with his audience. "The future depends on the effort I put in today," he said. "I will keep doing what I've always loved, and I am excited about what lies ahead."
As the music world eagerly anticipates his next moves, Asomacy stands poised to become one of the leading voices in African music, with Sony Music West Africa providing the perfect launchpad for his soaring career.
