Afrobeats stars Ayra Starr and Rema have officially confirmed they will release their first full collaboration, Who’s Dat Girl, on Friday, October 17th, 2025, at 1 a.m. WAT. 

The announcement follows weeks of speculation fueled by a viral moment during the Global Citizen Festival in New York, where the two artists shared a close stage interaction that sparked widespread social media buzz. 

On her social media, Ayra Starr shared visuals hinting at the collaboration: in one image, both artists pull up their shirts to reveal airbrushed portraits of each other on a striking teaser that has excited fans. 

This marks the first single credited to Ayra Starr and Rema as equal vocalists, rather than featuring one artiste on another’s track.  

Little is yet known about the song’s production credits or musical direction, but early descriptions suggest a sultry, energetic sound bridging Afropop and R&B influences. 
With both Ayra Starr and Rema already enjoying strong individual momentum in the Afrobeats scene, Who’s Dat Girl is poised to become one of the most anticipated African music releases of the week.
