Burna Boy Ejects Couple From U.S. Concert For Sleeping Mid-Performance

Afro-fusion superstar Burna Boy once again made headlines after halting his concert in the U.S. to eject a couple who appeared to be sleeping during his electrifying performance.

The incident happened on November 12, 2025, at the Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Colorado, during the U.S. leg of his NO SIGN OF WEAKNESS world tour.

Midway through his set, the Grammy award-winning artiste stopped the music when he spotted a woman seemingly dozing off in the front row. Turning to her partner, Burna Boy addressed the pair directly and said:

“I’m not doing another song till you go home… take her the f**k home.”

Security quickly stepped in to escort the couple out of the venue, after which Burna Boy resumed his performance to loud cheers from the crowd.

The incident sparked an intense debate across social media.

While some fans defended Burna Boy’s actions, insisting that his energy demands an equally active audience, others felt it was unnecessary to embarrass paying concertgoers.

This isn’t the first time Burna Boy has paused a show over crowd behaviour. The singer, known for his fiery stage presence and perfectionism, has often emphasised the importance of mutual energy between performer and audience.

Industry analysts say moments like this reflect his commitment to showmanship but also fuel the perception of Burna as one of the most unapologetically confident figures in Afrobeats.

The Red Rocks concert is part of his sold-out North American tour, promoting his latest album NO SIGN OF WEAKNESS. Despite the controversy, the tour has received glowing reviews for its production quality, live band and Burna’s trademark intensity on stage.
