The event served not only as a celebration of Boseman’s remarkable body of work spanning BLACK PANTHER, Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom, 42 and Marshall but also as a tribute to his profound cultural impact. Boseman, who passed away in 2020 after a private battle with colon cancer, continues to be widely regarded as a symbol of strength, dignity and artistic excellence.
During the ceremony, Ledward delivered a touching tribute, reflecting on Boseman’s devotion to his craft, his humility, and the spiritual depth he brought to both his roles and personal relationships. Other speakers, including Coogler and Davis, remembered him as a transformative figure in cinema whose influence extends far beyond film.

Boseman’s star adds to the Walk of Fame’s legacy of honouring figures who have significantly shaped global entertainment. For many fans and supporters, the honour represents a lasting acknowledgement of his contributions to film, culture and representation on screen.
