Cliff Cheqona Shares Insights into Trading, Psychology, and the Influencers Conference
Clifford Cheqona

On this episode of 3hread Special hosted by Essilfua on 3Music TV, trading psychologist Cliff Cheqona shared his journey, passion for trading, and the upcoming Influencers Conference. In an engaging conversation, Cheqona, who is also a coach and light speaker, offered profound insights into the psychological aspects of trading and his unique approach to public speaking.

The Path to Becoming a Light Speaker

Cheqona began by explaining why he prefers to call himself a "Light speaker" instead of a traditional public speaker. He stated, “It’s easy for everyone to speak in public, but it’s difficult to bring light into the minds of people.” His goal in every speaking engagement is to inspire positivity and transformation, making sure that his words ignite something deeper in his audience. This spiritual and motivational approach, he says, sets him apart.

Debunking Trading Myths

As a trading psychologist, Cheqona is deeply invested in transforming the way people view the financial market. He addressed common myths around trading, starting with the misconception that trading is a get-rich-quick scheme. “The financial market is not a playground,” he asserted. He likened trading to any professional skill that requires years of training and expertise.

Cheqona also emphasized that while trading is not overly complicated, it is difficult due to the mindset required, drawing a parallel between military training and the mental preparation necessary for trading. He underscored the need for emotional intelligence and analytical skills, noting that not everyone is naturally equipped to trade, but with the right mindset, success is possible.

The Psychological Challenges of Trading

Discussing the psychological hurdles traders face, Cheqona highlighted two dominant emotions—fear and greed—that drive market behavior. Fear of loss and the greed to earn more can cloud judgment and lead to poor decisions. He also touched on cognitive biases, such as loss aversion, where traders fear losses more than they appreciate gains, making it hard for them to operate rationally.

One of the standout moments was when Cheqona candidly shared his personal struggles as a trader. “I’ve cried. I’ve lost savings. I’ve lost money that wasn’t even mine,” he admitted, stressing the importance of mental resilience and understanding that the financial market is not a place to hopefully grow an account without a strategic approach.

The Truth Behind Forex Publicity

Cheqona also addressed the false narratives propagated by some forex trading platforms and gurus. He criticized the way forex is often advertised as an easy way to make money, stating that many of these platforms profit from the ignorance of traders rather than from actual market success. His key advice was simple: “The financial market is a place to multiply money, not to make money out of thin air. You cannot multiply what you do not have.”

He called for transparency and honesty in how trading is marketed to the public, particularly to those with little understanding of the complexities involved. Cheqona’s experiences in this space have led him to champion the cause of genuine mentorship, ensuring that people entering the financial market are fully aware of its risks and challenges.

The Influencers Conference: A Platform for Mental Transformation

Shifting focus to his upcoming speaking engagement, Cheqona expressed excitement about the Influencers Conference, set to took place on August 24th at Snap Cinema. While he will address topics related to trading, his primary focus will be on “mental transformation.” He believes that one’s mindset is the key to success in any field, and his goal at the conference is to help attendees realize the importance of developing a mindset that transcends limitations.

“You cannot rise above the level of your mindset,” Cheqona said, emphasizing that every person’s life is shaped by what they know—or more importantly—what they don’t know. The Influencers Conference will serve as a space for personal growth, with speakers from various fields sharing knowledge that can spark transformation in participants' lives.

As he wrapped up the interview, Cheqona left the audience with a powerful message. “Anyone I encounter, your life shouldn’t remain the same again,” he declared, crediting his ability to inspire change not to his own intelligence but to the grace of God. He believes that the Influencers Conference will be a transformative event, and he encouraged all those seeking growth and enlightenment to attend.

The Influencers Conference will took place on Saturday, August 24th, at Snap Cinema, from 10 AM to 3 PM. With Cliff Cheqona and other esteemed speakers on the bill, it was a life-altering experience for all attendees.
