Coco Jones Unveils Bold Debut Album Why Not More?, Showcasing Artistic Evolution
Coco Jones
Grammy-winning R&B star Coco Jones has released her anticipated debut album, Why Not More?, marking a significant milestone in her artistic journey. Following the success of her 2022 breakout EP What I Didn’t Tell You and the Grammy-winning single ICU, Coco Jones embarks on a fearless exploration of self-expression and musical diversity.

The 14-track album traverses a spectrum of R&B, blending introspective ballads with modern Pop&B and Trap&B vibes. Coco Jones collaborated with renowned producers such as StarGate, London on Da Track, and Jasper Harris, and features artistes like Future and YG Marley. Notably, she penned every song herself, emphasizing themes of self-love and empowerment, particularly in tracks like “By Myself.”

Standout singles include Here We Go (Uh Oh), which earned Coco Jones her first No. 1 on Billboard’s Adult R&B Airplay chart, and Taste, a sultry track that samples Britney Spears’ Toxic. These songs highlight her evolving artistry, blending soulful vocals with pop influences.

Coco Jones describes Why Not More? as a reflection of her full personality, breaking free from the “wholesome sweetheart” mold. She embraces a confident and sensual side, drawing inspiration from artists like PartyNextDoor, Jazmine Sullivan, and Brandy. Her creative process included journaling personal experiences, which directly influenced songs like By Myself.

Beyond music, Coco Jones continues to shine as an actress, portraying Hilary Banks on Peacock’s Bel-Air. She is preparing for the show’s upcoming final season and will embark on a tour starting May 6th in Philadelphia. Coco Jones remains committed to pursuing the ambitious dreams of her childhood, aiming to reach the grand vision she once had for herself.

With Why Not More?, Coco Jones delivers a bold and authentic debut, solidifying her place as a rising star in the R&B landscape.

The album is available on major streaming platforms, including Apple Music and Spotify.
