Conan O'Brien Has Been Confirmed As The Host For 2026 Academy Awards

Conan O’Brien has been confirmed as the host for the 98th Academy Awards, scheduled for March 15th, 2026. This announcement follows his successful debut at the 97th Oscars, which garnered the largest audience in five years, with 19.7 million viewers.

O’Brien’s return is accompanied by the reappointment of executive producers Raj Kapoor and Katy Mullan, along with producers Jeff Ross and Mike Sweeney, who were instrumental in the previous ceremony’s success. Academy CEO Bill Kramer and President Janet Yang expressed their enthusiasm, stating, “Conan was the perfect host—skillfully guiding us through the evening with humor, warmth, and reverence.”

Reflecting on his return, O’Brien humorously remarked that his motivation is to hear actor Adrien Brody finish his acceptance speech, referencing Brody’s notably lengthy address at the previous ceremony.

The 98th Academy Awards will be broadcast live from the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood on March 15, 2026, at 7 p.m. ET on ABC.
