Ghanaian rap heavyweights Criss Waddle and Medikal have joined forces on a powerful new single titled Merciful Lord, released in early September 2026.
The collaboration brings together two established voices in Ghana’s hip-hop scene, with the record combining soulful melodies, deep basslines, steady drums and heartfelt rap performances.
The song has already emerged among Criss Waddle’s latest releases, adding another significant collaboration to his catalogue.
On Merciful Lord, the two rappers take a reflective approach, touching on life’s struggles, blessings, perseverance and the need for divine protection and guidance.
Criss Waddle delivers his verses with a confident but introspective cadence, while Medikal brings his distinctive lyrical style and energy to the collaboration.
The result is a record that balances the toughness associated with Ghanaian hip-hop with a more emotional and spiritual mood.
The release also marks another link-up between two artistes whose careers have been closely connected to Ghana’s rap movement.
Criss Waddle, the founder of AMG Business, has remained an influential figure in the country’s hip-hop space, while Medikal has built a reputation for his energetic delivery and commercially successful records.
Merciful Lord gives both artistes another opportunity to connect with listeners through a song that looks beyond entertainment to themes of gratitude, survival and faith.
