British-Nigerian rapper and singer Darkoo is set to heat up the season with her upcoming EP, Sexy Girl Summer Vol. 1, scheduled for release on June 20th, 2025. The announcement was made via her official Instagram account, where she shared the release date and encouraged fans to pre-save the project.



This EP follows a series of successful singles, including Favourite Girl, Right Now featuring Davido, Focus On Me (All The Sexy Girls In The Club), which samples the legendary P-Square, and Like Dat. These tracks have showcased Darkoo’s versatility and her ability to blend Afrobeats with elements of UK drill and R&B.

In a recent interview with Glamour UK, Darkoo discussed her inspiration for the EP, stating, “I’m trying to make music that women listen to and feel like, ‘I’m the baddest bitch in this place. I’m gonna go on a yacht and I’m gonna shake my bum.’ You know, music that makes them feel themselves”.

Sexy Girl Summer Vol. 1 is anticipated to be a confident and sun-drenched project that encapsulates Darkoo’s unapologetic style and her commitment to creating empowering music for women. Fans can look forward to a collection of tracks that are poised to become the soundtrack of the summer.
