Creative entrepreneur, Doris Gedza, has opened up about her journey from media production to founding her own creative agency and launching initiatives focused on women’s empowerment.
Speaking in an interview with 3Music TV, Gedza revealed that her career path has been shaped by a desire to create opportunities for others while exploring different areas of the creative industry.
“I’ve always had the enthusiasm to create spaces and opportunities that allow people to tell impactful stories,” she said.
Her professional journey began in media production, where she gained experience across different roles in the production process. Over time, she expanded into public relations, project management and talent management.

Through these experiences, she eventually founded Bloom Iris, a women-led PR and creative agency focused on brand strategy, experiences and creative projects.
Gedza has also worked on several notable initiatives within Ghana’s creative space. One of them was The Big Street Feast, organised in collaboration with food creator Chef Abbys on World Food Day.
The initiative provided free meals to thousands of people and, according to Gedza, fed over 20,000 individuals in a single day.
She has also contributed to projects such as Kaly’s House, a creative industry gathering spearheaded by content creator KalyJay.
Despite working across multiple creative fields, Gedza says collaboration and sisterhood remain central to her work philosophy.
“I’ve had amazing female mentors who poured into me, and I believe it’s my time to pour into other women as well,” she explained.
Through Bloom Iris and the BloomHer initiative, Gedza hopes to continue creating platforms where women can collaborate, build businesses and achieve financial independence.
