The Black Stars of Ghana have been invited to participate in a four-nation tournament to be hosted in England June 2025, together with Nigeria and Jamaica.
Chairman of the Black Stars Management Committee, Dr. Randy Abbey confirmed the team's participation and stated that the tournament will provide an opportunity for the technical team to further assess and prepare the squad for upcoming international competitions, including the 2026 World Cup qualifiers resuming in September.

Jamaican National Team
Speaking to 3Sports, Dr. Abbey highlighted the importance of keeping the team active during the June break from qualifiers. "Fortunately, the technical team and management will have the opportunity to further work on the team because, in June, we don't have qualifiers. So, we're playing a four-nation friendly in England. And I'm sure it will be an opportunity for the coaches to do some further work on the team.”

England National Team
This tournament comes at a crucial time for the Black Stars, who are currently leading Group I in the World Cup qualifiers after recent victories against Chad and Madagascar. The matches in England will offer valuable experience and exposure for the Ghanaian team as they aim to solidify their position as one of Africa's top football nations.

Nigerian Super Eagles
While the specific dates and venues for the tournament are yet to be announced, the confirmation of Ghana's participation has been welcomed by football fans in the country. The opportunity to compete against England, Nigeria, and Jamaica on English soil is seen as a significant step in the Black Stars' preparation for future international engagements.
