Beaticide, also known as Peezy, is an up-and-coming music producer and artist hailing from Ghana. He is making waves in the Amapiano music scene by combining traditional Ghanaian rhythms with various global genres. With his soulful, calm, and genre-bending production style, Beaticide aims to create music that is both memorable and infused with traditional percussions.
Beaticide's interest in music production began during his high school years when he discovered FL Studio, a complex music production application. Inspired by a friend, he delved into tutorials and began honing his skills. This marked the beginning of his journey into the world of music production.
His current focus is on Amapiano, a genre that he discovered after a friend introduced him to DJ Kwamzy's Amapiano to the World Vol. 1. The rhythmic complexity and harmonic structures of Amapiano songs provided the foundation for Beaticide to explore his own unique style within the genre.
In 2022, Beaticide had a fortuitous meeting with Nigerian pop and R&B artist Jim Clifford at the Ashesi Creative Festival. Impressed by Jim's exceptional voice and demos, Beaticide shared some of his beats with him. This encounter led to a collaboration on the track I'm in Love, which was recorded in early this year.
The creative process for I'm in Love was seamless. Beaticide arranged the beat to Jim's liking, and Jim's ethereal vocals perfectly complemented the music. The duo's goal with the single is to convey a timeless love triangle and spread a message of love that resonates with listeners. They hope that people will embrace and enjoy their heartfelt expression, singing along to I'm in Love as if they were saying a silent prayer.
The much-anticipated release of I'm in Love is set for June 9th. Beaticide and Jim Clifford are excited to share their collaboration with the world and to establish themselves as prominent figures in the Amapiano genre.
Their unique blend of Beaticide's production style and Jim's captivating vocals is expected to leave a lasting impact on listeners, further solidifying their positions as rising stars in the music industry.
