Ghanaian gospel DJ, DJ Delin, is challenging long-held perceptions about faith, music and nightlife with his groundbreaking event THE GATHERING, scheduled for Sunday, November 30, at Eden Bar in Dzorwulu.
The concept, a Christian experience in a nightclub-style setting has sparked curiosity and debate across the entertainment and faith communities. But for DJ Delin, the mission is simple: create a space where people can connect with God without the restrictions of traditional church settings.
Speaking on Culture Daily’s Morning Bite DJ Delin explained that while the idea may sound unconventional, the venue is secondary to the purpose.
“A nightclub is just a place where people meet to listen to music and dance,” he said. “We’re simply converting that experience for Christian music.”

He emphasised that THE GATHERING is not about attracting only “believers,” avoiding labels that make people feel unworthy or excluded.
“I don’t want to create a bridge where people feel they can’t be close to God.”
The inspiration dates back three years during a large church event, where women were overheard wishing they could enjoy gospel music in a fun, nightlife-style atmosphere without guilt or judgment.
That moment sparked a divine conviction.
“God dropped it in my spirit. I prayed, and He gave me the guidelines,” Delin shared.
To maintain the sanctity of the event, strict rules have been set, No smoking, no alcohol, no twerking, Security presence by ASIS Security Agency, Worship, prayer and controlled jam sessions. While daily human behaviour can be unpredictable, Delin says the team is prepared.
“We’ll speak with love. Anyone who breaks the rules will be guided out respectfully.” Eden Bar, though structured like a nightlife venue, fits Delin’s vision because it is non-alcoholic, an intentional decision to keep the environment spiritually safe.
The event promises a balance between traditional worship and modern gospel “jam sessions,” embracing young people who want a clean, vibrant space to celebrate their faith.
DJ Delin is also celebrating his first-ever nomination for Gospel DJ of the Year at the Ghana DJ Awards. A recognition he describes as long-awaited and deeply meaningful.
THE GATHERING is happening on Sunday, November 30 at Eden Bar, Dzorwulu. Time 4pm – 10pm
