Nigerian entertainer Nasboi says he is preparing to release his first movie titled Celebrities Are Humans, a project inspired by the emotional struggles many public figures go through behind the scenes.

The comedian and musician made the announcement during an appearance on The Culture Daily on 3Music TV while visiting Ghana as part of his African tour.

“I just made my first film. I’m going to be putting it out in a month’s time,” he revealed.

According to Nasboi, the movie focuses on how society often forgets that celebrities are ordinary people dealing with real-life challenges.

“A lot of celebrities are actually depressed,” he said.

He explained that the film was inspired by his personal experiences in entertainment and the pressure that comes with public attention and social media scrutiny.

“It’s not easy for people to have opinions on your life. You start seeing stuff that are not even true,” he said.

Nasboi noted that many celebrities are expected to appear emotionally strong all the time, even when they are struggling privately.

“They make you feel like the moment you become a celebrity, you wear a jacket and become tough,” he said. “No, we are just human beings at the end of the day.”

The entertainer added that the project also allowed him to address issues happening within the entertainment industry while using storytelling to pass a message.

“It’s actually very nice. I was able to speak about a lot of things happening in the industry, he said."

Beyond comedy and music, Nasboi said filmmaking is another creative path he is exploring as he continues to expand his brand across Africa.

The entertainer is currently in Ghana as part of his African media and promotional tour.
