Guardiola Expected To Leave Manchester City At End Of Season

Reports in England say Pep Guardiola is expected to leave Manchester City at the end of the season, bringing an end to a hugely successful 10-year spell at the club.

According to Sky Sports Guardiola is expected to step down despite still having one year left on his contract. The report said the Spaniard has informed people close to the club about his decision.

The 55-year-old joined City in 2016 and has overseen one of the most dominant periods in English football history. During his time at the club, he won multiple Premier League titles, domestic cups and the UEFA Champions League.

Reports also suggest former City assistant coach Enzo Maresca is the leading candidate to replace Guardiola. Maresca previously worked under Guardiola before managing Leicester City and Chelsea.

Neither Guardiola nor Manchester City have officially confirmed the reports. Guardiola recently avoided giving a direct answer about his future when questioned by reporters ahead of the FA Cup final.

Manchester City are still chasing silverware this season and remain in the Premier League title race with two matches left to play.
