Ghanaian dancehall artiste Shatta Wale has clinched two awards at the 43rd International Reggae and World Music Awards (IRAWMA) held in Florida, over the weekend. 


According to a statement posted on social media by his management, Shatta Wale won Best African Dancehall Entertainer and Concert of the Year for his flagship event, ShattaFest. 


The statement continued to express gratitude to the organizers behind the IRawma awards for 'the recognition and continuous support for African music on the global stage.' 


Fans of Shatta Wale and music lovers alike have taken to social media to celebrate the wins.


The awards are seen by some entertainment pundits as a global recognition of Shatta Wale and his growing dominance in dancehall music.
