The GUBA Enterprise has announced the cancellation of the Africa Nominees Brunch in Los Angeles, originally scheduled for February 1st. The decision was made in solidarity with the victims of the recent LA fires, which have caused widespread devastation across the city.

The event, known as the African Brunch, traditionally serves as a prestigious prelude to the Grammy Awards, celebrating African nominees and their contributions to global music. However, in a statement released by the organizers, they expressed their commitment to supporting the affected communities during this challenging time.

This year’s Grammy nominations from Africa include prominent artistes such as Tems, Asake, Davido, Burna Boy, Tyla, and others, reflecting the continent’s growing influence on the global music stage.

While the cancellation of the brunch is a disappointment to many, GUBA Enterprise emphasized the importance of prioritizing compassion and community support during times of crisis. The Grammy Awards will still proceed as scheduled in Los Angeles.
