Ghanaian rising star Kojo Blak continues to inspire with his story of resilience, growth and unwavering belief in his craft. Appearing on The Big Conversation on Culture Daily with the Culture Squad, the fast-emerging artiste dived deep into his journey and the personal battles that shaped him.
Kojo Blak revealed that his path to music wasn’t always embraced by his family. Despite being a science student with dreams of becoming a doctor, his passion for music pushed him in a different direction, one that initially caused tension at home.
“My family had a problem when I switched to music,I was a science student.I wanted to be a doctor.”he shared
The transition wasn’t easy. Kojo Blak recounted how his father vehemently disapproved of his decision at the time.
“My dad didn’t want me to come home because of the music I was doing,” he said.
But with perseverance and a relentless drive to prove himself, the narrative changed drastically. Today, the same parent now stands firmly behind him. “Right now my dad is my biggest fan,” he revealed with pride.
On the show, Kojo Blak also spoke about his new music, creative process and the support system that now fuels his confidence. His artistic growth is admirable.
