Ghanaian rapper and singer Kweku Flick has spoken out about an unexpected incident that occurred during his performance at Wendy Shay’s concert, sharing his frustration and disappointment after being abruptly cut off on stage.
In a post on X (formerly Twitter), Kweku Flick explained that while he attended and performed at the event out of love and support for Wendy Shay, he was taken aback when a DJ or stage operator reportedly cut his performance short without warning at a moment when fans were actively enjoying his set.
According to him, although he is calm by nature, the action felt disrespectful, especially considering the effort he made to travel from Kumasi to Accra for the concert.
“I didn’t want to react over it because of the love and support I have for my sissy… but I was very disappointed!! I’m very calm but that doesn’t mean a DJ or operator should cut me off while performing,” he wrote.
Kweku Flick added that if such an incident happens again, he may not take it lightly, stressing that he respects people deeply but does not tolerate needless disregard for his craft or commitment.

“Flew all the way from Kumasi just to meet this kind of disrespect?? Do you know the risk involved???” he added.
Despite his displeasure, the MONEY hitmaker maintained a graceful tone toward Wendy Shay, congratulating her on the success of the event and expressing gratitude for being part of a memorable night.
Fans have since reacted to his post, with many urging event organizers to ensure professionalism and clear communication to avoid similar situations in future shows.
The concert itself has been widely praised, but Kweku Flick’s revelations highlight ongoing concerns about artist treatment and backstage coordination in the Ghanaian music event space.
