Ghanaian rapper and songwriter Kweku Smoke steps firmly into his next chapter with his sixth studio album WALK WITH ME, released October 31st, 2025. With this project, he invites listeners not just to witness his journey but to walk it with him.
Kweku Smoke, originally known for his blend of Ghanaian trap, rap and hiplife influences, has been steadily evolving his sound. His new album finds him deepening this progression. WALK WITH ME is the sound of a rapper who didn’t just participate in Ghana’s trap wave, but one who helped shape it.
By keeping guest appearances minimal, notably Vic Mensa on Believer and AratheJay on Hold On. Kweku Smoke emphasises ownership, self-assurance and a matured artistic voice.

WALK WITH ME
For his broader career, this album marks a turning point. It consolidates his status as more than a local rapper. He’s asserting himself as a genuine voice of his generation in Ghana’s hip-hop scene. WALK WITH ME is composed of 13 tracks and runs just over 36 minutes. The soundscape remains unapologetically trap hardened drums, deep bass, and a production style that creates space for Kweku’s Twi-inflected cadences and English flows.
In a landscape where Ghanaian hip-hop and trap are still forging their identity on the global stage, WALK WITH ME is a noteworthy statement. Kweku Smoke acknowledges his roots while looking outward, both stylistically and strategically. Culturally, the album contributes to a growing archive of Ghanaian artiste who are re-defining trap and hip-hop from an Afro-centric vantage sound, language, imagery and lived experience.
WALK WITH ME is not simply another album, it’s a milestone for Kweku Smoke. It signals both a consolidation of his craft and a readiness to expand his reach.
If the Ghanaian rap scene is shifting, this project might well be one of the pivots. For any listener wanting that blend of grit and growth, this is one to press play on.
