Ghanaian rapper Kwesi Lone is making waves again! He dropped his new
song MY FOLKS (MA’EBUSUA) on March 28, 2025, and it’s already hitting home with
fans all over Ghana and beyond. This track is all about family and
community—stuff close to his heart—and you can feel it in his deep lyrics and
catchy beats that stick with you.
Then, just a few days later on March 31, he gave us the music video, and
man, it’s fire! The video was directed by Chrisburna turning Kwesi’s song into
something you can see and feel, with cool shots that scream pride in Ghanaian
culture.
Kwesi put this one out on his own, no label needed, and it’s got that
real vibe to itMA’EBUSUA means My Family in Akan, and he mixes old-school
Ghanaian sounds with fresh Hip-hop beats. It’s like a nod to the past and
present all at once. The words he spits are about the people who’ve had his
back, and it’s got this mix of looking back and celebrating where he’s at.
He’s been grinding in the Ghana rap game for a while now, and this is
just another step up. MY FOLKS (MA’EBUSUA) follows some other dope tracks he’s
done, showing he’s got range and keeps it 100. Kwesi Lone is definitely one to
watch—he’s bringing something special to the table!
