LL Cool J brought the house down at the VMAs with an epic medley of his classic hits and new songs. He took the stage to celebrate Def Jam Records' 40th anniversary and performed some of his most iconic tracks like HEADSPRUNG, MAMA SAID TO KNOCK YOU OUT, and ROCK THE BELLS The crowd was hyped, with many in attendance wearing his signature red Kangol hats and waving images of a goat in reference to his single THE G.O.A.T.

The performance was a tribute to Def Jam Records, the legendary label that LL Cool J was the first artiste to release an album on.  He was introduced by Busta Rhymes, who called him a true trailblazer and his hero. LL Cool J's set also featured some new music from his latest album, The FORCE, including PASSION and PROCLIVITIES

Public Enemy's Chuck D and Flavor Flav joined LL Cool J on stage to perform their classic hit BRING THE NOISE. The performance was a high-energy celebration of hip-hop's golden era and the impact that Def Jam Records has had on the genre.

LL Cool J's VMAs performance was an attestation to his enduring legacy in hip-hop. He's still got the flow and charisma that made him a legend, and his music continues to inspire new generations of fans.

The performance also featured a nod to LL Cool J's latest collaboration with Eminem, MURDERGRAM DEUX The two hip-hop legends recreated several classic album covers from hip-hop's golden era in the song's music video.

Eminem also performed at the VMAs, opening the show with a performance of HOUDINI. His set featured a stage full of blond wig-wearing clones, which was a surreal and memorable moment.

LL Cool J's VMAs performance was an unforgettable celebration of hip-hop's past, present, and future. He proved once again why he's a true legend in the game. The performance was a fitting tribute to Def Jam Records' 40th anniversary and a proof to the label's enduring influence on hip-hop.
