Afro Nation Portugal is gearing up for a historic 5th anniversary as legendary R&B icon Mary J. Blige is set to perform at the festival for the first time. The Queen of Hip-Hop Soul will bring her timeless catalog to the Afrobeat-dominated festival, marking a major crossover moment for fans of R&B, Afrobeats, and global Black music.
Joining her on the star-studded lineup is Afrobeats heavyweight Davido, who has been announced as the third main stage headliner alongside Burna Boy and Tems. This trio of Nigerian superstars is expected to deliver electrifying performances at the three-day event, scheduled to take place from July 9–11, 2025, in Portimão, Portugal.
The festival will also feature dancehall sensation Dexta Daps, amapiano star Uncle Waffles, rising UK-based artist Odeal, and Ghanaian alté sensation Amaarae, promising a diverse mix of sounds from across the African diaspora.
As Afro Nation celebrates its 5th anniversary, the 2025 edition is shaping up to be one of the biggest yet, with more artistes expected to be announced in the coming months. With its signature blend of Afrobeats, R&B, dancehall, and amapiano, the festival continues to be a global hub for celebrating Black music and culture.
Pre-sale and general admission tickets for Afro Nation Portugal 2025 are expected to sell out fast. Fans eager to experience the festival’s milestone edition should stay tuned for ticket release dates and additional lineup announcements.
