Nigerian Afrobeats star Mr P (Peter Okoye) has officially arrived in Accra, ahead of his highly anticipated performance at the BHIM Festival 2025. The festival, curated by Ghanaian music icon Stonebwoy, celebrates a decade of African music and culture and will take place at the Accra Sports Stadium on December 24.
Upon arrival at the airport, Mr P spoke to the press about his relationship with Stonebwoy and the collaboration that brought him to the festival.
“I remember when I called him and said, Listen! I wanna collaborate with you on a song….”
He further praised the Ghanaian music scene and went ahead to caution Ghanaians:
“Stonebwoy represents Africa… I tweeted one time and said Stonebwoy needs to be protected…”
The BHIM Festival, marking its 10th anniversary, is set to feature over 20 artistes from Ghana and across Africa, blending Afrobeats, Dancehall and other contemporary African music genres. Mr P’s performance is expected to be one of the festival’s highlights, symbolising growing cross-continental collaboration in African music.
This year’s edition of BHIM Festival promises to be a memorable celebration of African music, culture and unity, with Mr P’s arrival setting the stage for an electrifying performance.
