Media personality, Nana Aba Anamoah, has criticised founder of BlacVolta, Joseph Adjei, following his apology over resurfaced tweets linked to the BlacVolta account, threatening to draw the attention of the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) to the matter.

In a post shared on X on Thursday, Nana Aba dismissed part of Joseph Adjei’s apology statement in which he pledged to work with organisations focused on gender-based violence awareness and women’s empowerment.

“The worst part of your statement is… ‘Moving forward, I will take the initiative to personally engage with organizations in Ghana focused on raising awareness of gender-based violence, women’s empowerment, and the importance of our digital footprints,’” she wrote.

“No. You won’t do that.”

In another post, the broadcaster directly tagged the BlacVolta account while also mentioning the CID boss, warning that she intended to escalate the issue.

“Herh @BlacVolta, I’m drawing the attention of the CID boss @lydiadonkor13 to your tweets and that silly statement,” she posted.

Her reaction followed the circulation of old tweets from 2010 and 2011 linked to Joseph Adjei’s former personal account, which was later converted into the official BlacVolta account.

The resurfaced posts contained comments many users described as rape jokes and insensitive remarks about sexual violence, prompting widespread backlash online.
