Former spokesperson for The New Force, Shalimar Abbiusi has finally opened up about her controversial arrest and deportation from Ghana, revealing new details about her involvement with the movement linked to The New Force.

Speaking about the widely circulated campaign video that introduced the political movement to the public, Shalimar stated that she was never paid for her role and did not initially know the project had political connections.

According to her, she agreed to become the face of the initiative because she believed it was a humanitarian project aimed at creating positive change.

“I was never paid for that video. I agreed to be the spokesperson for The New Force not knowing it had a political tone or background. I thought I was going to be the face of a humanitarian project,” she revealed.

Shalimar’s comments have reignited public conversations surrounding her arrest and eventual deportation from Ghana, which became a major topic online during the early stages of The New Force campaign.

Her latest revelation also raises fresh questions about how the campaign was presented internally before its public launch and the extent of her knowledge regarding its political direction at the time.

The New Force movement gained national attention after releasing cinematic campaign visuals and messages centered on leadership, governance and national transformation, with many associating the movement with Nana Kwame Bediako, popularly known as Cheddar.
