Beyond her hit songs and captivating performances, Piesie Esther is a meticulous artiste who treats every song like a spiritual mission. Speaking on the Big Conversation, she revealed that her creative process is grounded in prayer, patience and divine inspiration.
“When I’m recording and I don’t feel the power, I go back,” she admitted. “Sometimes it’s just one line, one word or the energy. My engineers will tell you if it’s not the Piesie Esther feel, I’ll sing it again.”
She recalled working on her latest single, NYAME YE, and how a small adjustment made all the difference. “I told my producer Kwame that I wanted to re-sing the beginning because I wasn’t getting the strength I wanted. When I went back, it was perfect. That’s when I knew this was the version God wanted out.”
For Piesie, music isn’t about chasing trends; it’s about communicating truth. “When you’re doing something for God, you have to do it with all your heart,” she said. “Before I release a song, I’ve already prayed over it.”
Her dedication to excellence reminds fans that gospel music is both art and ministry. It is a balance of creativity, discipline and faith that continues to make her one of Ghana’s most respected voices.
