Ghanaian streamer Made In Ghana faced a disappointing setback over the weekend after attempting his first-ever IRL (In Real Life) stream during the Zaama Disco Concert. What was meant to be a major milestone in his content creation journey ended prematurely, as persistent network challenges made it impossible to sustain the live broadcast.
According to reports from the venue, heavy network congestion and unstable connectivity plagued the area as thousands of patrons gathered for the concert. Despite multiple attempts to go live, the stream repeatedly dropped, forcing the streamer to abandon the session altogether.
The incident quickly sparked conversation on social media, with fans expressing both frustration and sympathy. Many sympathizers praised the streamer’s effort while lamenting the systemic challenges that continue to hinder young digital creatives in Ghana.

For many, the failed stream highlighted a recurring issue within Ghana’s growing digital and creator economy, unreliable internet infrastructure at large-scale events. As IRL streaming becomes a major tool for audience growth and monetization worldwide, creators in Ghana often find themselves limited not by creativity or ambition, but by access to stable, high-speed connectivity.
Supporters of Made In Ghana have since encouraged him to keep pushing, noting that the attempt itself was a bold step forward. The streamer has also received praise for representing local creators and attempting to bring Ghanaian events to a global online audience in real time.
While the night did not go as planned, fans remain hopeful that with improved infrastructure and better support systems, Ghanaian streamers will soon be able to compete on the global stage without technical barriers holding them back.
