Nigerian rising star Qing Madi recently marked a significant milestone in her career with her debut concert in Uganda, which was met with overwhelming success. The talented singer, who has been steadily making waves in the Afrobeats scene, took to Instagram to express her joy and gratitude for the support she received.
In a heartfelt post, Qing Madi shared her reflections on the experience, recounting the challenges and doubts she faced in the lead-up to the event. “I had my first concert in Uganda the most special day of my musical life ” she wrote. She acknowledged the naysayers who discouraged her, noting that many felt it was "too early" for her to stage a concert given that she's only been active in the industry for just over a year. Critics also doubted the pricing of the tickets, predicting that the event would struggle to draw a crowd.
However, Qing Madi revealed that she chose to focus on her faith, stating, "I only listened to what GOD ALMIGHTY said, and He approved of it." Her belief in herself and her mission paid off, as the Ugandan audience not only showed up but embraced her with immense love and enthusiasm. "Uganda turned up for me and they showed me true love, one that I will never forget," she added, calling the experience something that will be "forever embedded" in her soul.
The event, held in the heart of Kampala, demonstrated Qing Madi's growing popularity beyond her home country, as fans from across Uganda gathered to celebrate her music. Her performance included her hit singles, and the crowd’s energy only fueled the night’s success, further solidifying her place as one of Afrobeats' most promising young talents.Uganda, known as the "Pearl of Africa," has a rich music culture that embraces artists from across the continent, and Qing Madi's ability to captivate such an audience so early in her career is no small feat. The singer's rise to prominence has been nothing short of remarkable, and this concert speaks to her determination, talent, and the genuine connection she has built with her fans.
As Qing Madi continues to break barriers and defy expectations, her story serves as a reminder of the power of belief, perseverance, and the unwavering support of a loyal fanbase. With this successful Ugandan debut, the future looks even brighter for the Nigerian star.
