Nigerian Afrobeats sensation Rema, born Divine Ikubor, has taken the world by storm with his HEIS World Tour, a 23-date global trek launched to promote his critically acclaimed 2024 sophomore album HEIS. Kicking off on April 11, 2025, at the Edmonton Expo Centre in Canada, the tour has already captivated audiences with high-energy performances, including a sold-out show at Chicago’s Byline Bank Aragon Ballroom on April 30, 2025, and a historic headline at Madison Square Garden on May 3.

The tour, spanning North America, Europe, Asia, and Africa, includes festival stops at Coachella (April 13 and 20) and Dream Park Festival in Malmö, Sweden (August 1), wrapping up in Barcelona on August 3. Fans have praised Rema’s theatrical entrances, with one noting his warrior-like stage presence in Chicago, complete with swords and smoke.

The HEIS World Tour celebrates Rema’s genre-defining Afrorave sound, blending Afrobeats with trap, pop, and
Arabian influences, as showcased in HEIS tracks like AZAMAN, MARCH AM, and OZEBA. His setlists, while unconfirmed officially, feature these alongside hits from his debut Rave & Roses, including CALM DOWN, SOUNDGASM, and SOWETO, with his latest single BABY(IS IT A CRIME) also making waves. The tour’s Chicago stop, despite minor technical glitches, was lauded for its raw energy, with Rema rising on an elevated platform to deliver a no-opener.

His performances reflect his cultural roots, with songs like BENIN BOYS paying homage to Edo State, earning him a Grammy nomination for Best Global Music Album in 2025. Tickets, available via Ticketmaster and StubHub, saw pre-sales starting February 11, 2025, with general sales on February 13.  Rema’s global ascent is evident in his ability to sell out iconic venues like London’s O2 Arena (June 8) and Paris’ Accor Arena (June 28), following in the footsteps of Nigerian stars like Burna Boy and Wizkid.

His Japan dates, including a 10,000-capacity show at Okinawa Arena on July 20, mark a significant milestone, building on his 2024 performance at Anant Ambani’s wedding in India. Fans have shared setlist hopes, demanding classics like CHARM and DUMEBI, while critics have crowned HEIS a top Afrobeats album of 2024. As Rema continues to wow fans in sold-out venues, the HEIS World Tour bolsters his role as a trailblazer, pushing Afrobeats to new heights with unmatched charisma and cultural pride.
