Ghanaian live music collective Senkulive has officially begun the rollout of their highly anticipated project, The Revival, with the release of its debut single, Oblayoo.
Released on August 5, 2026, the song marks the first chapter of a project that seeks to showcase Senkulive's distinctive approach to live music while building anticipation through a carefully planned series of releases.
Oblayoo is available across major streaming platforms, with its accompanying live performance video serving as the first instalment of the wider The Revival series.
The rollout will continue with a new release every month, beginning with Dede featuring Susan August on September 2, followed by Accra We Dey featuring Pure Akan and Aduberks in October, Mala featuring Marince Omario and TiTi Owusu in November, and Adoley featuring Mr. Poetivist in December.
The new year will bring Praise featuring Dzidzor on January 1, 2027, before the full The Revival project arrives on February 3, 2027.
The staggered rollout gives each song and collaboration room to breathe while allowing audiences to experience the project progressively rather than receiving the entire body of work at once.
With Oblayoo now setting the tone, The Revival represents another opportunity for Senkulive to demonstrate why live-band music continues to hold a special place within Ghana's contemporary music landscape.
Known for combining live instrumentation with contemporary Ghanaian sounds and for collaborating with artistes across the country's creative scene, the collective is using this project to put performance and musicality at the centre of the listening experience.
As the remaining singles arrive over the coming months, anticipation will build towards the full The Revival project in February 2027.
