Musician Sista Afia has explicitly credited Shatta Wale for his instrumental role in her rise within the Ghanaian music industry.

She was speaking during an interview on 3Music TV when she expressed her gratitude, emphasizing that Shatta Wale has been a consistent presence throughout her career.

While many see him as a larger-than-life figure, to Sista Afia, he is a dedicated peer who has actively championed her talent since she first broke into the industry.

"I think Shatta Wale is one of the artistes that held me in this game," she shared.

Sista Afia recalled her early days, specifically following the release of her song Jeje, as a turning point where Shatta Wale’s influence proved vital.

She noted that Shatta Wale ensured her visibility by keeping her on show lineups and providing her with the platform needed to reach a wider audience across Ghana.

"When I released Jeje, he kept me on all platforms, all the shows across Ghana. Even I went to O2 Indigo to perform Jeje with him on the same stage.

Shouts to him, he's been there for me and he'll always be there for me," she acknowledged.

With the release of Makoma featuring Shatta Wale, the pair may make a major collaboration on her upcoming Queen Solomon Vol. 2 album.
